Location: Rescue

Description: There were three strays in Bakersfield, CA that have made it down to AHRSC! We now call them Winnie, Wanda and Walter and they look to be littermates. Wanda has been adopted and Winnie and Walter are still looking for their new homes. They all have been spayed, neutered and had their dentals. Also vaccinated and microchipped. Both Winnie and Walter have been very good with other people and dogs and are very friendly. Both are wonderful souls and with a bit of trainng will shine. They now have an entire lifetime ahead of them and both deserve a wonderful life full of love and attention with that special someone.

Description: This beautiful girl has had a very rough life and deserves to have the very best for her remaing years. Holly Berry was rescued from Mexico where she had been chained outdoors but despite it all still has alot of love to give. She had her veterinary care, a check up, spay and her dental. Holly Berry knows that special person is out there with her perfect home where she can live her life out with a lot of love and attention. She certainly deserves it and is hoping it comes very soon!

 Meet Bowie!!!!

Bowie’s owner passed away suddenly. His owner lived alone with Bowie and his ‘brother’. The ‘brother’ had bone cancer and was humanely euthanized at the recommendation of his veterinarian. Bowie’s world has been turned upside down.
He is eight years old black and tan. He will be neutered next week. He is in good health. He gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys car rides and walks. He uses a doggy dog. He is a very gentle dog and learns a new routine quickly. He is unsure to begin with but warms up with gentle hands and calming voice and seeks out loving reassurance.

Age:  approx. 1  1/2 years

Location: Rescue

Description: Meet Siobhan! She has made the long journey from Harbin, China, to Bejing, to Seoul and finally to Los Angeles!!!!  She came to Rescue with Billy on Christmas Eve and is ready to begin the search for her forever home. Siobhan has been spayed and is current on her vaccines. She is such a wonderful, sweet, fun girl! Full of life and energy, loves to play and ready for her new life with that special someone.

Siobhan was picked up from the breeder bringing the dogs to the slaughterhouse by Harbin SHS Animal Rescue. Harbin SHS

These rescues from Harbin, China are very special and will now have a chance to live the life they so deserve!

Description:  Meet Lyra! A very sweet and quirky girl. Lyra is rather shy at first but warms up quickly. She does need an experienced Afghan Hound home and no young children also. Lyra is spayed and would need to have a home evaluated before placement. Please contact us or check back for updates on this beautiful girl! Lyra has her whole life ahead of her and let’s make it a wonderful one with a lot of love.
